In pond Snag - Old Collier Golf Club Pond
Rather than remove the fallen tree, it is placed in the water as a snag to provide simple habitat enhancements for turtles, fish and birds. Notice the fine littoral edge of this pond - no manicured grass down to the edge here. Photo by Dan Pennington, 2006.
